Increasing Awareness About Eye Diseases in Fort Worth, TX Community

The North Texas Eye Research Institute (NTERI) at the University of North Texas Health Science Center's (UNTHSC) new Interdisciplinary Research and Education Building, is changing the world with new discoveries through basic and clinical eye research. Directed by Dr. Abbot Clark, NTERI's researchers and clinicians, within the field of visual science and ophthalmology, continue to increase awareness about eye disease development, the need for novel therapies within ethnic and minority populations, and inform the community on the importance of eye diseases and vision research.

Dr. Sima Mozdbar is an Assistant Professor and Director of NTERI's Community Outreach at UNTHSC. She successfully organized several outreach activities for doctoral students, scientists, and professors of NTERI to engage and inform the Fort Worth community on eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts.
